About
Software engineer based in Philly, NYC, and Boston — open to work, open to anywhere.
Background
Four years building production software end-to-end — schema design, APIs, frontend, deployment. I've shipped enterprise platforms where the requirements were ambiguous, the documentation was thin, and the stakes were real. I'm comfortable owning a feature from the database up to the deployed UI, and I prefer working close to the product so the thing I'm building is something real users actually use.
What I build
I like full-stack work because shipping a real product means caring about every layer at once — how data is modeled, how the API holds up under load, how the UI feels in someone's hands. The side projects on this site are how I keep that muscle exercised: small, finished, in production, and (mostly) used by humans other than me.
Interests
I'm drawn to AI and AI-enabled software development, HCI and UX, systems design, and tech policy — less as separate fields and more as angles on the same question: how do you build software that actually works for people? Most of my reading and writing circles back to this; most of my code tries to answer it.
Where I am
Based in Philadelphia and frequently in New York and Boston. Generally open to relocating anywhere — Bay Area, Seattle, Chicago, Austin, LA, etc. Fluent in Mandarin.
